In 2005, the Georgetown Children's Chorus was in Holland, celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Liberation of Holland. The first day, we were in a military parade in Nijkerk, sitting in the back of military vehicles while the crowds in the street yelled “Thank you Canada!” Older Dutch people came up to us, held our hands and expressed thanks. We cried.

The Georgetown Children's Chorus had a great summer and is now looking for new members, ages 5 to 18, to join in its 20th anniversary season. The highlight of the summer was when 30 members of the 100 voice choir traveled to Ottawa on Canada Day to sing at the National Arts Centre, as part of the 400 voice Unisong Festival choir.
